If the entrepreneur notifies their intention to continue a trade after the expiry of the validity period or applies for an amendment to the decision to grant a concession, the trade licensing office may extend the validity of the trade authorisation. Along with their notification or application, the entrepreneur must submit the necessary documents, and if the conditions specified by law are met and, where relevant, if the change of the validity period in the decision to grant a concession is also approved by the administrative authority pursuant to Annex 3 to the Trade Licensing Act, the trade licensing office will make the appropriate change in the trade licensing register. A foreign natural person whose authorisation to carry on a trade in the Czech Republic is tied to having a residence permit for the Czech Republic must submit proof of a new residence permit along with the notification of the intention to carry on a trade after the expiry of the validity period.
