Address for settlement of liabilities
Under Section 31(16) of the Trade Licensing Act, the entrepreneur is obligated to:
- Inform the trade licensing office, no later than the date on which it terminates activities at an establishment, of the address at which any liabilities can be settled.
- Notify any change of the address, at which the entrepreneur’s liabilities, if any, can be settled, for a period of 4 years after the termination of activities at an establishment.
The address for settlement of liabilities must not be identical with the address of the entrepreneur’s domicile, if this is the address of the recording office, a special register or the address of the seat of an administrative authority. The entrepreneur may only notify such an address as the address for the settlement of liabilities if they have proven their legal title or right to use the premises at such an address.
