Procedure followed by the trade licensing office

Pursuant to Section 49(1) of the Trade Licensing Act, an entrepreneur shall inform the trade licensing office of all changes and amendments relating to the information and documents required for the notification of a trade within 15 days from the date on which they occur. This does not apply to changes and amendments for which the Trade Licensing Act exempts the entrepreneur from this obligation (see the introductory information in the Guide concerning acts in the course of business).

As prescribed by the Trade Licensing Act, the entrepreneur’s obligation to notify changes is as follows: the entrepreneur notifies changes and amendments to the information they provided in the notification of a trade and, if relevant, changes and amendments to the documents they attached to the notification of a trade. The required particulars of the notification of a trade are summarised by type of trade below under the links Required particulars of a notification – Unqualified trade and Required particulars of a notification – Regulated trade If there has been a change in any of the above information or documents of the entrepreneur, and if the information changed is not exempted from the notification obligation by law, the entrepreneur is obliged to notify such change to the trade licensing office. The notification of the change must be made via a separate submission, preferably using the Single Registration Form (SRF) – Change Sheet.

FAQ

How do I notify additional fields of an unqualified trade that I want to carry on and have them registered in the trade register?

To notify the extension of an unqualified trade to include additional fields of activity, the entrepreneur fills in the standard Change Sheet SRF form and attaches the annex entitled LIST OF FIELDS OF UNQUALIFIED TRADE ACTIVITIES “MANUFACTURING, TRADE AND SERVICES NOT LISTED IN ANNEXES 1 TO 3 TO THE TRADE LICENSING ACT”, in which the entrepreneur indicates all the fields they intend to carry on from that point on – that means the fields they are already carrying on and intend to continue to carry on, as well as the fields they newly intend to carry on.
