Termination of continuation after the entrepreneur’s death

If a continuing person decides to no longer continue the deceased entrepreneur’s trade, they will notify the trade licensing office thereof. The date of receipt of the continuing person’s notification by the trade licensing office is decisive for terminating the continuation of the specific trade.

In the notification, the continuing person will indicate the following:

• The company name or given name and surname of the deceased entrepreneur
• The personal identification number of the deceased entrepreneur
• The date of birth of the deceased entrepreneur
• The birth registration number of the deceased entrepreneur, if assigned
• Their own (i.e. the continuing person’s) personal identification information, in the following scope: given name and surname, date of birth, birth number (if assigned), address of domicile or address of place of residence in the Czech Republic
• The trade(s) which the continuing person will no longer continue
